I love coffee!

I love coffee!

I think I had my first cup of great coffee at my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Fred's house in Arlington, VA in the early 80's. Maybe I was a middle schooler trying it for the first time after a special dinner like Thanksgiving or Christmas. In any case, it was love at first sip.
My mom used to give me chocolate covered espresso beans for my birthday or Christmas from Georgetown Coffee, Tea & Spice for most of the 80's, as well. Yum!
The taste and the energy it gives me is most welcome.
I am a pretty mellow person and caffeine motivates me to actually complete tasks that I need to finish!
Working in coffee shops during my time at VCU was extremely helpful in completing art assignments, papers, the like.

My fave coffee at home the past 2 years is Nespresso Arpeggio Roast. I can thank my brother Maury and his wife, Miriam in Switzerland for this sweet little habit.

When I am in Philly, I love La Colombe near City Hall or in Rittenhouse Square.

Or a cup of coffee at Nonno's or Zen Den in Doylestown, PA

Or, good ole reliable French Roast at WaWa

Wherever you enjoy your coffee, I hope it makes your day a little better! I know I love my 2-3 cups a day. :)

PS This blog is meant to be interactive. Please comment as you please. I'd love feedback! Pertaining to coffee, I am currently looking for a good automatic coffee maker and dark roast coffee. I was eyeballing a Mr. Coffee at Costco the other day. Maybe that's an option. But I prefer a thermos container for the coffee to brew into. There used to be more of those around 10-15 years ago. And I am thinking Peet's maybe for my ground coffee if I go back to making pots of coffee. Thoughts?!
